LIMITED WARRANTY. High-Purity Standards’ (HPS) products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period associated with each item as listed below. Single element/component standard solutions have a warranty period of 18 months and multi-element/component items have a warranty period of one year from the date of shipment unless otherwise stated. Exceptions are noted on the internet/hardcopy catalog or shopping cart.

Customer Acknowledgment
Purchase of product from High-Purity Standards implies acknowledgement of and agreement with Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Purchase Price
Prices and promotions quoted and/or listed at www.highpuritystandards.com, and are subject to
change without notice. Prices for custom products and certain governmental, corporate, and institutional customers may be set forth in a bid or other written agreement between the parties.
Ordering
Orders are submitted using a valid credit card number or a purchase order. High-Purity Standards accepts payment by VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS. Credit terms may be arranged prior to purchase according to High-Purity Standards account management processes.
Taxes
Prices do not include taxes. Taxes are added by High-Purity Standards to the sales price to comply with local and state law. Taxes are paid by the customer unless the customer provides a valid tax exemption certificate to High-Purity Standards.
Handling and Customs
High-Purity Standards shall not be liable for handling or customs charges for shipments outside the United States.
Confirmation
Paperwork confirming existing orders MUST be marked with “CONFIRMATION” to avoid duplication. HPS will not assume responsibility for duplication as a result of improperly marked paperwork and will assess a restocking fee upon receipt of the returned items, see Return Policy below for details.
RETURN/CANCELLATION. HPS issues full credit for unopened catalog items* returned within 30 days of purchase. A restocking fee of 20% per item will be assessed for any item returned after 30 days. Catalog items or custom mix can be returned for full replacement if the item is found to be erroneous. ALL returns must be authorized. Please call (843) 767-7900 to receive an authorization number. When shipping items identified as hazardous by DOT, contact High-Purity Standards shipping department PRIOR to shipping if no one in your facility has proper hazardous shipping certifications.
*Note that the return policy does not apply to items with expiration dates less than 6 months.
NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE. The entire liability of High-Purity Standards and its distributors is set forth above. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall High-Purity Standards and its distributors be liable for any damages, including, but not limited to, any special, direct, indirect, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, expenses, lost profits, lost savings, business interruption, lost business information, or any other damages arising out of the use or inability to use the products, even if HPS or suppliers have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Customer acknowledges that the applicable purchase price for the products reflects this allocation of risk. Because some states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply. If the foregoing limitation of liability is not enforceable because a High-Purity Standards product sold or licensed to customer is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction in a final, non-appealable judgment to be defective and to have directly caused bodily injury, death, or property damage, in no event shall High-Purity Standards’ liability for property damage exceed fees paid for the specific product that caused such damage.
SHIPPING. Orders for catalog items are generally shipped within 24 hours of receipt of the order. High-Purity Standards default method of shipment is FEDEX ground service. Expedited delivery services are available. The purchaser is responsible for identifying a preferred method of shipment if preferred over the default method. Shipping charges are prepaid and added to the invoice. Additional charges incurred by hazardous shipping regulations and COD requests are paid by the customer. HPS is not responsible for shipping delays resulting from a shipper’s performance, governmental action, labor disputes, acts of God or other unforeseen causes beyond HPS’s control.
LABORATORY USE. HPS products are intended for laboratory use only. They are not intended for medical, food, drug, or household use. All products should be handled and used by trained professional personnel only. The responsibility for the safe handling and use of these products rests solely with the buyer and/or user.
