High-Purity Standards, Inc. (HPS) has proudly served the scientific community for the past fifteen years with high-purity spectrometric standards and reference material for AAS, ICP, ICP-MS, and IC. Approximately one-half of our business is in the preparation of custom blends designed to meet our customers' needs. Our vast analytical experience allows us to prepare difficult-to-make special mixtures. Whether your need is for a catalog item or a custom blend, we pride ourselves on providing prompt and accurate customer service.
We are continuing to add new calibration standards useful in IC, ICP and ICP-MS analyses to our product line. Many of these additions are as a result of recommendations from our customers. This year we have added a cation mix standard as well as a perchlorate standard to our ion chromatography line. We have expanded our packaging offerings with our filter products and added custom blends packaged in glass ampoules and HPSPrep. Our filter options include placing a variety of materials (liquids and solids) on mixed cellulose ester, Teflon-lined, PVC, or glass fiber type filters. The HPSPrep takes advantage of the non-wetting properties of Teflon. This permits us to produce a calibration standard solution for ICP, ICP-MS and IC with a concentration of ng to mg/mL in a one step operation. This packaging technique is also useful for field operations where small quantities of acids in non-breakable packaging is required. You may want to contact our staff to see if the HPSPrep could help you.
With the addition of several items to our Certified Reference Materials (CRM), we have organized our list of CRMs as either food or non-food related material. New products that are available include: pine needles and a range of lead in paint chips. These CRMs have been certified for major, minor, and trace metals using total and other appropriate digestion techniques. We have expanded our certifications of many of our CRMs to include carbon, sulfur, and nitrogen analyses. The certification is by at least two different analytical methods.
A friendly, knowledgeable staff stands ready to handle your inquiries. We look forward to providing you with the highest quality analytical standards possible. If you are going to be in the Charleston, South Carolina area, please feel free to visit us and see firsthand how we produce these high-quality spectrometric standards.
Thank you for the trust you place in High-Purity Standards.
