ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION
CHARLESTON, SC, August 14, 2006 - High-Purity Standards (HPS) of Charleston, SC is proud to announce that it has attained ISO 9001:2000 certification. Application for the ISO 9001:2000 certification was intended to demonstrate HPS commitment to continually improving its quality management system through recognition by an independent third party. The HPS Quality Management System (QMS) underwent a rigorous audit by Perry Johnson Registrars, one of the largest and most respected management system registrars in North America. Perry Johnson Registrars issued the HPS registration on May 31, 2006.
Since its inception HPS has had at the cornerstone of its quality system traceability to National Institute of Standards (NIST) Standard Reference Materials. In 2005, HPS set the goal of improving its procedures using the ISO 9001:2000 standard. HPS chose certification because it provided a disciplined framework that complemented HPS laboratory procedures.
